The rest of April 2015

More than Spring Break

I started this month in a very delightful way. Dorothy, Bette-Ann and I met at our tea house in Edmonds to find that on this particular day, it was not opening for another 45 minutes or so. I was prepared to sit in the sunny but chilly morning to wait for opening. But Dorothy invited us to walk the five minutes to her house. There we had our own private tea party with delicious fresh bread. We chatted, laughed and shared a marvelous hour or more together.

I had a few great bike rides solo and with friends.

Interesting use for an old "car"
Cormorants drying out along the river bank

Came across this yard of entertaining things -- Giant ants

Pork and Beans

And little girls reading.

April filled up before I knew it -- spring break; time with the grands at the gym; camping at Kayak Point (thought I had photos, but not) in the new trailer and the grands came to visit for the day; breakfast with John just a week before his retirement date; movie (Woman in Gold) with Pat; and the kick off meeting for our senior center (Pedal Pushers) cycling season; then the first Pedal Pusher ride along the Centennial Trail drew 21 riders -- QUITE a turn out.

May has some very promising weather forecasts.....
