Up and out early for breakfast which meant a drive to Kellogg, the closest place open on the Forth of July! Then, Susan agreed to ride with me again!! Today we would head south on the trail from where we camped last night.

In a past trip we had a moose walk across the trail in front of us. No moose this year, but there were lots of tracks on the trail.

Now it was time to actually head for Montana! Our destination is Lincoln where friends have invited us to use a family cabin there on the river. On the way we stopped in Missoula to visit with our friends Vicki and Ray where we would spend the night. It has been such fun visiting with them, catching up with stories and sharing fish tales between Susan and Ray -- and ukelele-ing.
Vicki is taking ukelele lessons which may have inspired me to take out the ukelele that a friend gave me when I retired. I have not even looked much at it, but might just look for some beginner classes this winter.

Time for bed -- an actual bed.
