On Saturday Sarah, Jeremy and family took us for a Mothers Day adventure to Old Town Sacramento. There we took the old train ride along the Sacramento River and then for ice cream.
After ice cream we toured the magnificent (and huge) Railroad Museum. This is the month and year of 150 years since the railroad was built. It is quite a big thing here and they were setting up the 'round house' for the festivities. This museum is incredible with many displays and a docent to give you an extensive tour with more information than my brain could hold. I need to (and want to) return to here for more!
And THEN they took us for lunch. We had our own little room and a very good meal.
Sunday — actual Mother's Day — the was more! Jeremy fixed all of us a delightful breakfast, they gave us gifts, and then Sarah and the Grands took us on a bike ride to find geocache treasure. We finished that off with — yep, another ice cream treat ;'-)
Now we are heading home and I have managed, with a great deal of frustration to complete blogging about this trip. Unless I come up with a good solution to my blogging issues, I may well stop blogging although there. But I will continue to work on a solution as I do like doing it.
