On the way from the campground Susan thinks she hooked the Big One...
Riding bikes into town is a treat. The old bridge that once carried the auto traffic across the lake to Sandpoint remains in tact after the new highway road was constructed. This affords cyclists and walkers a car free ride right next to busy route 95.
Lake Pend Oreille (pronounce Ponderay like a neighboring town) is on our right, and Pend Oreille River is on the left as we head to town.
All of this big bridge for us! See the truck in the distance heading toward us on Route 95.
We stopped a few times to admire the scenery.

When we come to the end of the bridge, a paved trail continues on into town.
Entering town we find easy bike parking should we need it.
There are a few functional bike trails in town that we explored and (of course) visited a couple of outdoor shops and bike shops.
This next shop is one similar to the Sharing Wheels shop in Everett. They take in old bikes, refurbish them and give, or sell cheaply, to those that need them. They do carry a few newer bikes for sale as well.
Time to eat! Matchwood (I wonder, if this has any reference to Diamond Match Sticks??) Brewery had fine food fare and across the street Murph’s Ice Cream shop served a fine dessert ;’-)

Lots of old buildings add character in the area of the brewery.
As at the beginning of our day, Susan found a a fishing orpportunity...
A few cobwebs, but still fishing.
